Material :
-Felt (2 colours)
-Small beads
-Decorative button
-Needle and thick white thread
-Scissors
-Pliers
-Flexible wire (in a matching colour)
Felt, beads, decorative buttons and
flexible wire are all available from craft stores

Method :

Draw two flower shapes (one slightly larger than the other) and use as a template to cut the felt.

Superimpose the small flower on to the larger one and attach using the white thread. Sew the decorative button in the centre of the flower and add a bead on top to hide the stitch.

To make the actual ring, thread the beads on to a length of flexible wire and trim the ends with pliers, being careful not to leave any sharp ends. To make the design more elegant, you could always make 3 rings, to add more emphasis.

Attach the flower to the top of the ring(s) and hey, presto! You have a beautiful table decoration…

Note of caution :

Due to the use of small parts and wire, children must be supervised to carry out this activity.
