Roast chicken

Ingredients:

• 1 chicken
• 1 tablespoon of olive oil
• 1 tablespoon of a herb mix: marjoram, thyme, rosemary, myrtle or herbes de Provence
• 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon of ground garlic
• 1/2 teaspoon of salt
• 1/2 lemon
• 3 cloves of garlic

Pre heat the oven to 230°C (gas mark 7/8).

Rinse the chicken inside and out under the tap. Wipe with some kitchen towel.

In a little cup, mix the olive oil, the dried herbs, the paprika, the ground garlic and the salt together.

Prick the skin of the chicken with a fork

Smear the meat with the marinade (inside and out).

Place the garlic and the ½ lemon cut in half inside the chicken.

Put in the hot oven and roast for 1 hour. When cooked, let the chicken cool down for 10 minutes before serving.
